The Thunder and Heat meet in the first match up of the season here is my take on the first half of the game.
Heat came out on fire no pun intended, the defense reminded you of the Heat we have seen the last few years in the playoffs, Chris Bosh came out aggressive and decisive with the basketball. The Heat went on a 18-0 run in the first quarter, while the Thunder came out looking stunned & playing real tight. Serge Ibaka is playing strong with 12 points and all over the boards, Kevin Durant started the game tight and Lebron James guarding him from the moment the ball was tipped did not help as Kevin Durant also picked up two early fouls.
Dwayne Wade looks fresh to start the game and is moving well, Lebron James started game off tight did not look comfortable. The second quarter was a different story the game became very competitive with the Thunders defense picking up causing the Heat to turn the ball over ten times in the first half. The second quarter was also back and forth between both teams for a while until the barrage of three's came down from the Thunder and Thunder over came an early storm by the heat which led 22-4 at one point. For the Thunder the game opened up & the ball movement was crisp and decisive.
The game has reached half time and the Thunder lead 55-50 with Kevin Durant finishing with 16 points in the first half and Lebron James with 15 points.
